Zadar
Zadar and the tourist region of Zadar are located in the very centre of the Croatian Adriatic, in the most indented part of the Adriatic archipelago.
At a smaller or greater distance from Zadar are the national parks Plitvice, Paklenica, Krka and Kornati, nature parks Velebit and Telascica, as well as more than 300 islands and islets. In numerous restaurants and taverns of Zadar tourists should taste home-made specialities. Among drinks, the first place belongs to the famous liqueur Maraskino.

Ugljan
Ugljan, a town and small harbour on the north-eastern part of the island of Ugljan, 11 km to the northwest of Preko.
Chief occupations include farming, viniculture, olive growing, fruit growing, fishing and tourism. Ugljan lies on the regional road running along the island. Smaller yachts can dock on the landward side of the breakwater; anchoring-ground for larger vessels is provided to the southeast of the small port.

Nin
Nin, coastal town in the southern part of the Nin Bay on the Zdrijac peninsula, 17 km north of Zadar.
Together with its surroundings, Nin offers excellent opportunities for vacations and recreation, especially for health tourism. Around Nin are several long sand lagoons, far from the crowd, traffic connections and industrial zones. Numerous restaurants and taverns offer specialities of both domestic and international cuisine. Sports and recreational opportunities include also sports fishing and hunting.

Sukosan
Situated in the bay, Sukosan has a multitude of nice sand beaches. The town itself offers nice walks through the traditional narrow alleys.
Due to its numerous restaurants and taverns, Sukosan is known as a place of wine and song. Sukosan cherishes the old customs. They are linked to the feast of St. Kasijan, the patron saint of Sukosan (13th August). The Nights of Sukosan is another event offering entertainment. During the carnival season, "luzari", masques typical only of Sukosan, represent a special attraction.

Starigrad-Paklenica
Starigrad is the centre of the 20-km long riviera of Paklenica, the area distinguished by the astonishing and charming combination of marine and mountainous features.
Due to its unique position, Starigrad is the destination of mountain climbers and swimmers. It is the seat of the Paklenica National Park Authority, where all information about visiting the Park can be obtained. Those who prefer sunbathing can find enjoyment on pebble beaches. Starigrad offers fine sports and recreation opportunities.

Vinjerac
Vinjerac, formerly a fishing village,Vinjerac is situated in North Dalmatia, 25 km east of Zadar, on the coast of Velebit Chanall, opposite the National ParkPaklenica and the Nature Park Velebit.
This seaside resort is characterized by typical Mediterranen architecture: narrow alleys, houses made of stone, hospitality, and phenomenal homemade food.

Razanac
Razanac, a village and small harbour on the coast of the southern part of the Velebit Channel, 24 km northeast of Zadar.
Chief occupations are farming, livestock breeding, fishing and tourism. The coast is poorly indented and chiefly bare from the cape of Debela Nozica in the north-west to the cove of Bokulja in the south-east. In front of the village are low and bare islets of Razanac Veli, Razanac Mali and Donji Skolj.

Rtina

Zaton
Zaton, a village on the coast of the Zaton bay in the Zadar Channel, 3 km south of Nin.
In the village, whose main feature is the main "street", are 16 tennis courts and several other sports grounds, while bicycles, surfing boards, sailing boats and boats are available for rent. In summer months, various workshops are organized: windsurfing, water skiing and tennis. The discotheque in Zaton is well known because it hosts famous performers.

Petrcane
Petrcane, a village and harbour on the coast of the cove bearing the same name, in the Zadar Channel, 15 km northwest of Zadar.
Chief occupations are farming and fishing. Petrcane has a beach with a pine forest. The harbour is well protected; smaller yachts may dock in the harbour. Petrcane lies on the local road, branching off from the regional road Zadar - Nin.

Kozino
Kozino, a village in northern Dalmatia, 9 km northwest of Zadar; elevation 64 m.
Economy is based on farming. Kozino is located on the regional road Zadar - Nin, running through the forests of pine; at the intersection of the regional road and the local road which leads to Petrcane on the coast (2 km). The parish church of St. Michael the Archangel was built in 1522.

Kali
This typical Mediterranean village is the largest place on all of the Zadar islands and one of the most popular fishermen's villages on the Adriatic.
Its specific atmosphere is created by numerous fishermen's boats docked in the harbour. The traditional Kali Fishermen's Night is held in August. A local road connects the village with the opposite side of the island; there are two pebble coves (Lamjana Vela and Lamjana Mala), separated by a small peninsula.

Kukljica
Kukljica is the most developed seaside resort on the island of Ugljan. It features a number of coves with nice beaches, clear seawater and dense pine forests.
Especially interesting are the sand beaches of Sabusa and Delenica on the southern coast of Ugljan, which may be reached only by boat or on foot. The tourist village Zelena Punta (Green Cape) offers various sports and recreational opportunities: tennis courts, small playgrounds, boccia grounds, miniature golf, table tennis.

Mali Iz
The island of Iz is one of of the 18 permanently inhabited islands of the Zadar archipelago. It is situated between the islands of Ugljan and Dugi Otok, close to the n.p. Kornati.
The picturesque village of Mali Iz ( Small Iz ), on the sout-eastern part of the island is a typical dalmatian fishermans village. It lays on three hills: Mucel, Makovac and Porovac, and in two bays: Knez and Komoseva. In the village of Mali Iz there is no hotel. Tourists are accomodated in private apartments, rooms and villas.

Poljana
Poljana, village and small harbour in the cove bearing the same name, in the central part of the eastern coast of the island of Ugljan in the Zadar Channel, 2 km north of Preko.
It was first mentioned in 1534. Chief occupations include farming, growing of vegetables and olives. Southwest of Poljana is a hill called Vela Glava (238 m), which offers a nice view on the Zadar archipelago.
