Neum is the only seaside town in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Neum has steep hills, sandy beaches and several large tourist hotels. Tourism, and the commerce it brings, is the leading contributor to the economy of the area. Neum has around 5000 beds for tourists, 1810 in hotels with the remaining capacity in motels, villas and in private accommodation. Tourism in Neum is active only in the coastal region.

Drvenik, a village and ferry pier in the cove of the same name on the Makarska Riviera, 29 km southeast of Makarska.

Govedari is located on the regional road which runs along the entire island of Mljet. Govedari is the only larger settlement in Mljet National Park, and also the seat of the national park management. The village is connected with Pomena (a nice cove with Hotel Odisej and various sports and recreational facilities), the Polace harbour and Veliko Jezero.

Drace, a village and cove of the same name on the northern coast of the Peljesac Peninsula, 30 km northwest of Ston.

The cove is a part of the spacious bay of Bratkovica, open to the north. The bay has a number of coves (Drace, Stinjivac, Blazevo and Brijesta). Smaller yachts may dock in the harbour (depth 1.3 - 3 m), protected from all winds by a breakwater.
